Taily, i can see that this is one of your first three nonograms. Keep at it. I like to see the different perspective and fresh take on things that new talent can bring.

Well, it's a bit ugly, but it's interesting because I couldn't quite guess what it was, although I did think it was some sort of cactus. The three shades of green was really hard to differentiate, I'm genuinely surprised I didn't make any mistakes on it.
replyThe colors are too similar; I made lots of mistakes because I couldn't tell them apart.
replyI didn´t make any mistakes, it was interesting not to know what it is going to be with the very first klicks. Thank you.
replyI don't think the picture quality was improved by using really close shades of the same colors, especially the greens. Sticking to maybe a dark and a light shade would have looked better.
replyI agree with Palouday, this ne isn't very good, unicorn was better, but I think next will be better
replyWhen using shades that are close to each other, try to use one that has white numbers and another with black numbers. It makes it a lot easier to tell which color is which.
replyIt's a cute outcome but those greens are just too close in color. I was relieved when I got to the top of the puzzle and there was no more green.
replyI am very frustrated, on this computer, all three of the greens look the exact same, I cannot see where to put them, the colors are too close.
replyI guessed from the colors and their placement it was going to be a flowering cactus. I agree that the green colors are very similar; I didn't have too much trouble with that, but understand how others could (I have 2 monitors, and the colors are distinguishable on one but not the other). I'm not going to put Taily down for it, though, as it was an interesting puzzle and a good attempt at a unique image. Keep at it! :)
replyThe colour selection couldn't have been any worse.
replyJust going to give up on this one, too cluttered with nearly the identical color choices. I even had to turn on "A left click on the number chooses the color" to even get started.
More contrast between shades of the same color. Don't forget to change the saturation to get some "free" contrast space.

I really liked this one! Probably because I have good colour vision & it wasn't as frustrating as others find it. I though it was a great image & creative too. I think you just have to be careful to remember that some people have poorer quality screens or are just naturally worse at differentiating similar colours. However this doesn't mean that the drawing itself is bad. Don't let this discourage you from making more! I like your art style a lot. :)
replyI didn't realize until reading the comments that there were 3 shades of green. I use "click on number" to get my colors, but it was tricky :)
replyI started from the bottom, and I got it halfway up. Neat design!
replyEh, you pretty much know it's gonna me a cactus just looking at the margins and the greens are way too similar, still easy if you squint a bit.
replyI didn't think this one was ugly at all! I liked it. Though I would have preferred if the flower weren't symmetrical.
replyI think it is pretty. Next time use more irregular shapes with al components, like you did already with the green part of the cactus. Nice collours!!
replyI use the click on the number to get the right color method. Makes a puzzle with this WONDERFUL shading technique much easier.
replyI agree that it was needlessly difficult because of the similar colors.
replyI get bored with cactus, but this one is more interesting

People in Phoenix, AZ including me: I DONT WANNA SEE THAT ANYMORE
Usually I don't mind similar colors. I can tell them apart fine. But for this puzzle, the greens were nearly indistinguishable.
replyThe colours were indeed hard to distinguish. That said, I don't get how this picture only got 3 stars... People seem to find the cactus less than perfect-looking, and while I respect that opinion, if you draw something that doesn't look as they look in a cartoon, that doesn't mean the drawing is bad. I think it's one of the more realistic cactuses (cacti? lol) I've seen on this website so far, and judging from the picture and the shading, the artist knows what they are doing.
