I see why you have differentiated colours 3 & 5. But why the hell are 4 & 6 nearly identical, and yet different? That serves for no other purpose than to annoy people doing these puzzles

I thought that too but wasn't very annoyed because there are only 6 squares of number 6. Once you get that out of your way you don't think about it any more.
