What looks like the snakes tongue is actually a symbol used in rebus to indicate dropping a letter, since it's before the snake we drop the 1st so zmeya -> meya
The e=i indicates switching of a letter, thus meya -> miya
Add the H and we get "Hmiya" which then, of course, stands for himiya or chemestry in russian
