The Hunter (Enter the Gungeon)18 November 2019, 8:43I agree with both of you. But what I do when I'm unsure of the colours is use the Check the crossword button, and those x's show me where I've picked the wrong shade!
Watermelon18 November 2019, 3:32Lovely picture. Great beginner puzzle or a mindless puzzle for more experienced players who've been at the computer too long!
Flutist16 November 2019, 2:59I used all three hints (which weren't particularly helpful) plus some judicial guesses checked with the Check the Crossword button (kind of like targeted hints)... Lovely result when I finally got it!
Ostrich16 November 2019, 2:08I initially thought this looked really hard but was amazed how everything just fell into place. Fun!
Parakeet15 November 2019, 23:19If you haven't had your coffee yet...
Cherry15 November 2019, 10:30Looks beautiful in the thumbnail! Another nice easy one with a big reward at the end.
And day and night the cat scientist all walks on a chain around...13 November 2019, 13:24Awesome, John Robertshaw. Your explanation is fabulous! And congrats to Yvan for another interesting and effective puzzle. Your creativity amazes me!
Frog13 November 2019, 12:59I never cease to be amazed at the beauty and creativity of an Arina puzzle. Love this one, especially.
Popcorn13 November 2019, 12:40And this is one you definitely have to look at in the thumbnail. Very effective!
Popcorn13 November 2019, 12:39I was expecting, based on the colours, french fries from McD's.
Corn cob13 November 2019, 12:24I peeked at the answer, and it's a lovely picture. I just couldn't face the option of either making it too small for my poor middle-aged eyes or having to scroll up and down -- it's just too long for my computer monitor. :(
Meow13 November 2019, 4:23The things I learn while doing these puzzles! I was so confused! I thought for sure it was a
snail
... until I read the title. So, I read the comments, did a Google search, and it all makes sense now. Very well done!
Flower13 November 2019, 1:39I think "Nobody" meant if you didn't get any squares wrong, the system automatically lets you know you got it right. I suppose newbies aren't aware of that. The "check the crossword" button is more for if you want to make sure you're on track while doing one of the puzzles. It's also helpful if the system doesn't indicate you've correctly solved the puzzle and you absolutely can't see where you went wrong! (Usually with me, I've missed one square somewhere -- usually in puzzles with lots of single pixels.)
Bull13 November 2019, 0:33Unexpectedly cute for the male version...
Love the asymmetry. Simple but interesting.
Themis. Goddess of justice12 November 2019, 7:56Creative, as always, but I'm not convinced of the final effect. Somehow the
crown
isn't' quite right. I thought at first it was another character along the lines of yec72's puzzle just below...
Ladybug11 November 2019, 14:23Love these really quick ones. Good one for beginners or for more experienced players who've been sitting at the computer for too long...
Mice11 November 2019, 13:56Arina, your puzzles are always a delight!

Angry cook25 October 2019, 4:39We had a restaurant called
The Angry Chef
here where I live. It didn't last long. It was replaced by The Friendly Thai, which is doing very well.

Street light10 October 2019, 3:01Agreed! And an amazingly effective picture for such a simple puzzle.
