Wood Elf with Wand5 February 2023, 10:29Very good. I was annoyed at the end, with all the single cells in multiple colours, but it turned out to be for a good cause.
Pinwheel5 February 2023, 0:49Agreed. #4074BF is the best.
Turkey4 February 2023, 7:51Not a turkey? I'll vouch for that. Sorry I'm late, I don't do many colour puzzles. And neither does Rickshaw, apparently; he would never pass up an opportunity to express an opinion.
Little Red Riding Hood4 February 2023, 7:36Adding those colours would make it a much easier puzzle; too easy, I think.
Nazca Booby4 February 2023, 2:24"but"?

Diamond3 February 2023, 4:01You and nono-nono, above, might be on to something.

Graveyard22 January 2023, 1:47A Christian one, apparently, with some extravagant crypts; and graves going up the hillside?
Auto20 January 2023, 23:06I'm still waiting for your reply to my comment below. There is nothing back to front about the auto (which might or might not be a taxi). Meanwhile, there are no reliable generalizations to be made about the people I know who do, and those who do not, use loose leaf tea, and I doubt yours.
Kettle20 January 2023, 22:57I was talking about the purists' correct preparation of tea. In my preparation of tea, anything goes; any kettle, or any pot, with any kind of handle, at any angle.
Kettle20 January 2023, 22:56Indeed; and handles in general, and the one of our current focus, are not straight lines, but do lie in a plane, and can be held so that that plane is parallel to the circle's plane.
Kettle20 January 2023, 22:53Of course Manchester is not in Yorkshire, and of course I don't mean Leeds. In this context, would you expect me to invent an explanation that honours your beloved homeland, or one that disrespects it?
Kettle20 January 2023, 22:49Rickshaw, you don't know the Warwick manoeuvre? Put your right hand, palm up, through the space under the handle. Grasp the handle. Lift the kettle, while bending the elbow and rotating it counterclockwise, and cocking your wrist downward. You now have the kettle in hand, with the spout facing left, as you wanted.
Kettle20 January 2023, 22:42"Devout" (and no, I'm not being a pedantic ass; English is not Maburg's first language, and s/he appreciates corrections).
Auto20 January 2023, 4:24Perhaps Seans is trying to protect someone who fancies himself a tea connoisseur from the inevitable scorn that would be directed to that person if it became known that that person makes tea using teabags.
Auto20 January 2023, 4:18If there were anything in the picture that showed which side of the car we're looking at, such as whether the driver's seat is on the near or far side, and if there were a road, and we could see which side of it the car were on, then we could formulate such a hypothesis; but there's not, so we can't. We see a stylized automobile, in isolation, just as correct as its mirror image. That's what I think.
Kettle20 January 2023, 3:36Once again, while Piltshaw's time zone is asleep, I will answer: in the correct preparation of tea, the water is poured into the pot from the starboard side, and the pot is placed on the burner with the handle parallel to the great circle that intersects Jorhat and Manchester. The reasons for these details are the same as for why one does not drink tea with cream: because that's the proper way. No argument is brooked.
