Man in Suit22 December 2022, 1:07You're right, I hadn't noticed; a little like Duke, with a head of hair.
Man in Suit22 December 2022, 1:06It would be more realistic; I wouldn't necessarily say better. Even negligent and avant-garde works can be brilliant.
Man in Suit21 December 2022, 1:15Something was lost indeed. That's an entirely reasonable suit, but in the puzzle it looks like something from a negligent or avant-garde tailor.

It was a good puzzle, though, and, cute aside, a good picture.
Bug18 December 2022, 9:43Not just any bug, it looks like a beetle to me.
Alarm Clock17 December 2022, 7:25Fructus fugit sicut musa
Monkey17 December 2022, 7:23So it is, from Lahtinen with the keltainen hattu.
Hammock17 December 2022, 3:03I don't follow this comment either; it doesn't seem to be a reference to Rickshaw, maybe you're pushing back on my obscure humour (which would be a reasonable thing to do).
Hammock17 December 2022, 3:01I don't know whether "languish" is a joke on RESTfulness (if it is, it's a good one), or if it's a translation error of "languidecer" vs "language".
Hammock15 December 2022, 10:00Some pale-skinned programmers never see the sun ... https://www.redhat.com/en/topics/api/what-is-a-rest-api
Eagle15 December 2022, 2:17On an eagle, those are usually referred to as "talons".
Hammock15 December 2022, 2:16Ominous. Is the connecting rope wrapped around someone's neck? What's with the multi-level crucifixes? and the C++ connection? (and the RESTful comment?) or is that just a C+ grade? I await further developments.
Hammock15 December 2022, 1:08That works in the winter, too. Give it a try.
Accordion player14 December 2022, 3:20Yes, him too! I found out about him after hearing about Clifton Chenier in a Paul Simon song.
Stump14 December 2022, 2:49But now he has. It's the end of an era (that's pronounced the same as "error" in Yorkshire).
Stump14 December 2022, 2:48John-Bob, you disappoint me.
Stump13 December 2022, 2:20It looks like Fairy Creek -- https://thenarwhal.ca/fairy-creek-blockade-bc-old-growth/

Stump13 December 2022, 2:11Rickshaw's still working on it, but he'll get it done. He's never yet been ...
Stump13 December 2022, 2:10"Qué", no "quién". Es lo que queda cuando se corta un árbol: un tocón.
(Y no, afortunadamente, nada que ver con Trump.)
Goldilocks13 December 2022, 1:59Could be. I see interlocking units of ... something, but I see them in most nonograms, and I'm learning to ignore them.
Goldilocks12 December 2022, 2:01The bowl just below the girl is too big, and the one just right is too small. The bowl in the middle just fits. The bears just left. There's a message here, somewhere, but I don't see it.
Sick Grandma in Bed10 December 2022, 3:29And one more thing: those times when she put you down for a nap, she would oven jump into bed with Grandpa for a romp. I know you don't like to think of such a thing, but with all that adversity that she faced down throughout her life, do you think she didn't know how to have fun? I'm not convinced that she's really sick.
Sick Grandma in Bed10 December 2022, 3:25Not so. Grandma smiles through thick and thin, gets out of bed to make our dinner, and never complains. They don't make 'em like that an more.
Maple leaf10 December 2022, 3:02That got revised to "lily, thistle, shamrock, rose" when it got to where the French contribution could no longer be left out. No doubt someone will try to revise it again in recognition of those who were here long before Europeans got here, but no one sings it any more, and that's where it should be left.

Besides that, I don't recognize the image as a maple leaf. That might be intended as a comment on this topic.
Marriage Proposal10 December 2022, 0:48That's a good story; it's good to have a few of those in your personal history. But it's better to have a good marriage, with or without a good story.
Vespa9 December 2022, 2:35I remember you.
Marriage Proposal9 December 2022, 2:22I'm impressed. I don't think I would have had the guts to do that ... but I never had a boss who I wanted to be married to, either.

Did she remain your boss after she accepted your proposal? Or did that cause conflicts of interest?
Flying insect8 December 2022, 6:00Indeed.
Marriage Proposal8 December 2022, 4:48I guess it has. I'm wondering whether she was a colleague (and was the desk there when the conversation started, or did she sling it there), or your lawyer or psychotherapist or bank manager ...
Putting Ring on Finger8 December 2022, 4:43Maybe. I liked it as a dragon and a parrot, too.
Pufferfish7 December 2022, 3:19I did; it seems that it's a harmless eccentricity, not a danger to my health.
Pufferfish6 December 2022, 23:22I have a good fish & chips shop nearby, but the best I've had was in the UK. Mushy peas are an abomination, but they grow on you.
