In some South African languages (we have 11 official languages in South Africa), a "Gogo" ( the "o" pronounced as in "morning") is a grandmother. This is definitely not it!

In Afrikaans, a "gogga" (I am not even going to try to tell you how to pronounce that - google it!) is an insect. Much more likely :)
