Running Woman	6 October 2022, 6:03	That's usually how I do it. I turn off auto everything (incorrect squares, filled in rows, crossed out completed numbers) and don't place any Xs. I cross out completed numbers on my own. I do use the "Check the crossword" button often, but I don't use it to cheat by checking wild guesses. If I find that I'm not making any progress after staring at it for a while, I'll start placing Xs.
