Equilibrium11 April 2017, 6:31Ditto to Palouday. Sucks too, because I find the color ones less interesting and I've already exhausted the middle-sized ones that can fit on my laptop screen.
Hare10 April 2017, 12:59Given the length of the ears, hare is probably more accurate.
Pig10 April 2017, 12:47A pig on pointe?
Ok10 April 2017, 12:38Now try to argue that a thumb's down doesn't qualify as "no way." Just because there's a separate okay sign doesn't change Ines entirely accurate point. Thumbs up can be used for any affirmative response - including okay. Thumbs up and the A-OK sign are entirely synonymous in that context. Plus, the A-OK symbol that Amanda is describing is mostly in common use in English-speaking countries - where forming the letters O and K are relevant to the word okay. And in non-English speaking countries, the A-OK symbol is sometimes actually an insult, meaning basically that you're a zero or an asshole.
Girl10 April 2017, 11:26wow, it's not often I specifically argue with a rating, but a 3.5? This 'girl' is quite deformed. Her arm is too thin and has no elbow, not sure what is going on with her hand/wrist. Her shoulder is all wonky, her neck is not aligned properly and there is something very odd going on with her tits. If you ever get a pair of mudflaps that look like this, return them.
Elephant10 April 2017, 7:58Looks like an elephant figure from a LEGO set or a modular playset for toddlers.
Biker10 April 2017, 7:51I can't tell why, something about the dimensions, but to me it looks more like a 4-wheeler than a motorcycle.
Phone9 April 2017, 13:40Richard - you do realize the phrase "ancient telephone" is an oxymoron right?
Shoe9 April 2017, 13:28"Mr Dalliard, we have a three way, see you at the peep-hole!"
Jester9 April 2017, 12:46Reminds me of Pennywise - and how worried I am that a film version of It where the kids and adults aren't even in the same movie will never work. Sorry for the tangent, I can't tell which I'm traumatized by more, the terror of reading It, or how bad the movie Needful Things was. ;)
Charlie Chaplin9 April 2017, 12:22It's quite a lovely and interesting image. I am a big fan of Chaplin, though I'm more fascinated by his life and legacy than his work. He was such an remarkable public figure and had a massive impact on the film industry as it stands today. I highly recommend the RDJ biopic about Charlie.
Hedgehog9 April 2017, 11:19I always wondered why on HOS adventure games, like the ones on Big Fish, they often incorporate a hedgehog with an apple or a mushroom on its back. Turns out there's a folk belief that hedgehogs carry them to hide away like squirrels do nuts, even though it's not really true and hedgehogs don't store food but rather hibernate with stored body fat like bears do. Another interesting bit of info I've gotten off of playing on this site.

Though I'm not sure about the actual look of this hedgehog. It looks more like an armadillo.
Glasses9 April 2017, 0:34As I recall, xray specs had many more concentric circles on the 'lenses', almost looking like a bullseye. I think this is an image of those arguably racist novelty glasses people wear to make their eyes look 'Asian'.
Chapel9 April 2017, 0:20Yeah, this is pretty bad. Not only is that cross frigging massive, it's vertically symmetrical, so this would more likely be a clinic or a hospital, not a chapel.
Turtle7 April 2017, 5:09I'm with Pibb - looks like a flying turtle surrounded by a squad of bombers.
Snail6 April 2017, 20:29Actually Marycha, the helix coils in different directions for different species. So nothing fake about it.
Headphones6 April 2017, 18:08Clearly it's a headset and not headphones, but a different subject matter from the usual on here.
Kettlebell6 April 2017, 18:00Weird that so many people don't know what this is. I know kettlebells originated in Russia, but they've been pretty commonly found in the U.S. for some time, especially with those high-intensity exercise programs, like CrossFit.

It's a good use of glinting to give the image dimension.
Mask6 April 2017, 15:29For some reason it reminds me of Alicia Hunt's mask in Batman.
Seahorse6 April 2017, 14:43So the site not only has its own personal comment troll but sockpuppeting too? Yeesh.
Athlete6 April 2017, 12:40You misread that Hamflaps, it was for supporting the world's thickest head.
Football6 April 2017, 12:28I think the football/soccer thing has to be one of the more obnoxious arguments by my fellow U.S. citizens. Leave it up to us, to try and take the word football away from a game that is played almost entirely with the feet, and give it to game where it's almost entirely played with the hands. SMH
Radio5 April 2017, 14:50Uh grobr, that only really works if this is an image of a VCR or maybe a cable box.
Camel5 April 2017, 9:42I'm a little scared to wonder what it is derek is seeing.
Battery "Krona"4 April 2017, 5:53Not bad. Though some effort should've been made to not have the terminals look identical. On a 9V battery the difference between the terminals is easy to spot.
Witch4 April 2017, 5:05I'm guessing it's not meant to be a shepherd's crook, it's just the top of a broom handle. If you look at stylized witch's brooms online, many have odd twists and curves on the end of the handle.

Also don't think that's a tassel on the hat. The tip of the hat appears to curl around on itself, again in the style of a cartoon witch. I have a Halloween hat that I call my "Nightmare Before Christmas hat," that is a big floppy witch's hat, where the tip curves around in a loop and there's a rubber spider dangling from the tip. It looks a lot like this image. In fact I also have a plush Beanie Boo witch that looks a ton like this image, even down to the hair style.

Lastly; consider how much a person looks like a "winner" taking time to call people on a puzzle comment section losers?
Gardener4 April 2017, 4:32Quite well done actually. Manages to convey a lot in a very small space, with the water stream, the person bending to use it, etc.
Palm trees3 April 2017, 14:05Artistic merit aside, why does the puzzle creator think that palm fronds all droop down like that? These look more like trees in some Dr. Suess book.
Cheerful pencil3 April 2017, 6:40I'm wondering what on earth Amanda Googled. Because even using an exact phrase search I found nothing that in any way resembled this image.
Egypt3 April 2017, 6:16Yeah, this one again claims to be something without actually looking like the thing in question. A head with cone on it is not automatically Nefertiti.
The mushroom from Mario2 April 2017, 13:41The problem is, it doesn't really LOOK like the mushrooms in any Mario games, even early 8-bit versions. There isn't enough face below the cap, and I know it's a dirty word to some people on this site but, the dots on Mario mushroom caps are always symmetrical - generally with one dot centered in the front.
Gentleman2 April 2017, 13:28
Think someone was Funko inspired...
Dancer1 April 2017, 5:50When I first saw it I thought of The Dark Tower.
Fish31 March 2017, 21:12Wow, had Boo from Monsters Inc. commenting the other day, and today it's Darla from Finding Nemo. :)
Ninja31 March 2017, 12:53At one point I thought it was the Kool Aid Man.
Bagel31 March 2017, 9:42It's funny to think of a mistranslation in this case, when the two types of baked goods have quite different linguistic and cultural backgrounds.
Pussycat31 March 2017, 8:44It actually looks more like Toothless.
Helicopter31 March 2017, 4:23I think the thing ggg is asking about is a ladder bolted down on the right and extending down off-screen on the left. The kind of ladder you might find nearby a rooftop helipad.

Though of course you wouldn't land on an actual roof that was so small the helicopter was near enough to the edge for the ladder to be in frame like this.
Light bulb30 March 2017, 15:43I agree with both Ruru and helenstamps points. We certainly have enough issues with trying to match titles with puzzles when they are lacking ambiguity.

Obviously it's everyone's business what they put in these comments, but I think it's worth nothing that just because a specific puzzle type doesn't appeal to you doesn't mean it won't appeal to others. I personally have no issue with symmetrical puzzles, and when it comes to the bigger puzzles I find the are much easier to manage in even multiples of 5. It doesn't mean I expect anyone else to have those preferences. And while I am hardly a beginner one of the reasons I like this site is because I can adjust for the type or difficulty of puzzle I feel like doing at the time. I think the beauty of this site is the flexibility of using it.
Stroller30 March 2017, 6:07Modern prams have smaller wheels than this, while antique prams tended to have one big wheel (very much like a bike wheel) opposite the handle and one slightly smaller wheel on the handle-end. So yeah, this one feels off.
Grampus30 March 2017, 3:50For all the words that we've used for this mammal over the years, it's weird that the one that's most stuck is the one that's based on a bad translation.
Dance30 March 2017, 2:29As a general rule, when a woman is dancing she doesn't lean so far back that her center of gravity is behind her. You know, cause it's a good way to pull something. SMH
Kettle30 March 2017, 2:16idk5678: When you heat water on a stovetop for coffee, tea, etc. you do so in a metal kettle.

Though this thing looks more like a carafe or a Grecian water jug than any kettle I've seen.
Yin or Yang29 March 2017, 14:39Reminds me of the NES gun controllers.
Tiger29 March 2017, 12:36In my head Tamin's comment is in the voice of Boo from Monster's Inc.

It is a great closeup.
Jet ski29 March 2017, 11:10A lot of times an image this busy makes my head hurt to look at, but this is just far enough to be interesting without pain. :)
Dog29 March 2017, 9:59As anthropomorphizing of an animal goes, this little furry friend looks slightly criminally insane. :)
Tap water29 March 2017, 5:45It's interesting how sometimes the simplest images are the most well constructed. Though I would've configured the water flow a little differently, since it kind of looks like the nozzle is disintegrating.
Hedgehog29 March 2017, 5:19There is apparently an RPG called Dark Sword that has a character or class, that's a cleric/druid, which is a hedgehog which walks upright and carries a staff. I suspect that's what this is an image of, and from the figurines I found online it's a decent likeness.

I enjoy the odds turns of research this site sends me on sometimes. :D
Old car29 March 2017, 2:22Based on the shape of the hood I suspect this is more like a 1940's Ford sedan rather than a Beatle. Though the 40's bugs do look very similar so it's hard to say.

It's a solid image. Good detail.
