Chipmunk2 January 2017, 23:25Very well done, getting the markings all fairly visible in such a tight space.
Lamp30 December 2016, 12:17I also can't help but see it as an outdoor shower mounted on a fence.
Puppy30 December 2016, 11:04Now that is one seriously adorable image. I had filled in the bottom half and I could see it's smile and was suddenly eager to finish it. Also great detail, with the folded ears and such.
Bear30 December 2016, 10:07Someone tried to merge a kodiak and a panda. Need to scale the ears back a bit.
Observatory29 December 2016, 21:32Nice try at creating the slit, even if it actually looks like it's sporting female genitalia. :)

And it's a pretty bad sign when people don't know the difference between a terrestrial observatory and a low-orbit telescope like Hubble.
Bomb29 December 2016, 4:22A buh?!

No, not a buh, a bomb.
Medical science28 December 2016, 4:35Uh no Sean, there's no needle or leech in these symbols. The Rod of Asclepius is a snake wrapped around a staff, and the Bowl of Hygieia is a snake twined around a chalice. They are all based on Greek mythology and deities involved in health and healing. Google Asclepius and Hygieia and you'll get more details on why the symbols include snaes, plus you'll come across mentions of the Hippocratic oath since it references both deities.
Mouse28 December 2016, 2:59Nah, hamsters are more fluffy than this. I'd definitely go with rat. Looks like an image right out of Secret of Nimh.
The Nutcracker28 December 2016, 2:29The problem with labeling this image as a nutcracker is mostly the hat. The traditional nutcracker soldier design features a bearskin or similarly tall and straight hat. This soldier is wearing what is clearly a bicorn hat, most commonly associated with Napoleon and the uniform of French soldiers. But the tradition of creating nutcracker figures that look like soldiers originated in Germany, and of the many nutcracker images online, none look like this.

And a quick Google search confirms there is zero connection between the bicorn hat and German soldiers or Nutcracker dolls.
Swan on the water27 December 2016, 12:37Bubbles, dark backdrop to demonstrate such a pristine reflection, and even a great definition of the water's surface. This is one impressively complete image, particularly in such a small one. Very well done!
Prehistoric age26 December 2016, 11:49I'm impressed that such a small pterosaur is discernible as one. Well done.
The symbol of medicine24 December 2016, 10:25Yeah another that should probably be renamed. The Bowl of Hygeia is a symbol used by pharmacies but isn't really the symbol of medicine - that would be the Rod of Asclepius.
Man23 December 2016, 20:49My brain went to Mr. Bill. Oh NOOOoooo!
Buratino22 December 2016, 22:32Buratino is Tolstoy's retelling of Pinocchio. It's always interesting the stuff that carries back and forth between the cultures and what is entirely native.

I'd have given him some hair though. From what I've seen of narrations specific to Buratino he's usually portrayed with a bit sticking out of his hat, much like Pinocchio.
Winter night22 December 2016, 22:15I'm all for the occasional simple puzzle, but you could've added a bit more snow to up the challenge a bit. That's A LOT of easy lines in one 30x30 grid.
The road to the house22 December 2016, 8:14Man lives in the sunlit world of what he believes to be reality.
But...there is, unseen by most, an underworld, a place that is just as real,
but not as brightly lit... a darkside.

I think the thing on the bottom left is meant to be a bush, but it's hard to say.
Batman21 December 2016, 7:00Too sharp on the tips and tip edges of the wings. Looks more like a simple cartoon bat than what is actually on the bat signal.
Ship21 December 2016, 4:05Same here Christiana, went from "What on earth?" to "Ahh, nice!" when I read the title.
The Giant Turnip21 December 2016, 2:16I agree BC, I enjoy that I learn about stories and characters I've never heard of, through this site. The Giant Turnip story sounds quite lovely.
TV20 December 2016, 18:07Always found the whole 'boob tube' thing incredibly ironic. The marked acceleration of human intelligence and the first glimpses of the information age all trace back to the early 1900s - which means the generations who grew up with telephone, radio and television. That's when our global understanding levels started to skyrocket. History indicates that every invention which makes it easier to share ideas with people outside of your immediate proximity makes for fewer boobs in our society. :)
Student17 December 2016, 11:53This is a cute image. Looks like a cartoon version of The Nutty Professor. That is the REAL Nutty Professor, a.k.a. Julius Kelp. Not that travesty staged by Murphy decades later.
Jackdaw15 December 2016, 1:49It's a common misconception that blackbirds are in the crow family - while a jackdaw is a kind of crow, a blackbird isn't. It's a type of thrush.

Though I'm not even sure how this can be a jackdaw, unless that stuff above its head is something other than plumage. Jackdaws have smooth, sleek heads without a crest. This almost looks more like a kind of parrot or cockatoo.
Gramophone15 December 2016, 0:25Great job at making all the pertinent parts visible while still making it a lovely image in such a tight space. In particular putting the hand-crank in the back but standing up was a good choice.
Pirate13 December 2016, 10:32I'd have labeled it Tommy Chong celebrating International Talk Like a Pirate Day. :)
Chaplin13 December 2016, 6:39More like zombie Charlie. I know the dark eyeliner was his signature look, but it wasn't quite that Gene Simmons.
Komar2 December 2016, 10:41Komar is apparently Slovenian for mosquito. Fun and educational. :)
Romantic walk2 December 2016, 9:38It's a lovely image but... The only way those two are on a 'walk' is if this is an illustration of Dorf on Sailing.
Bighorn1 December 2016, 5:41Another stunning image. Exquisite detail in the various tufts.
Musketeer1 December 2016, 5:05This is a fantastic image! Terrific detail and use of highlighting. Really impressive.
Squirrel30 November 2016, 7:34Reminds me of the albino squirrel that used to live in my gramma's neighborhood. But the ears are pretty wonky.
Seduction27 November 2016, 1:16Given how much of her sunglasses are facing forward, the woman's nose looks like it's sitting on her left cheek.
Birds25 November 2016, 15:46If the Animaniacs's Goodfeathers wore hats, this is what it'd look like. :)
Girl and puppy25 November 2016, 14:13That's a very sweet image.
Pelican25 November 2016, 11:24It's got a ton of personality and is quite cute.
Train25 November 2016, 10:40Great image, perfect amount of detail for this sized image. Love the plume.
Briefcase24 November 2016, 5:34Looks awfully squat to be a briefcase, I'd have gone with a doctor's bag or a satchel.
Building work24 November 2016, 3:45It's actually called a loader.
Walk23 November 2016, 14:10adminusff - Actually I was thinking it's on Halloween, because the thing to the right of the cat looks like a skull.
Shrek and Fiona23 November 2016, 13:43Very cool image. Couldn't tell what it was from Adam, but as soon as I looked at the title it was completely clear.
Primus stove23 November 2016, 0:21I looked it up, it's supposed to be a kind of camping stove. But never seen one quite so busy.
Helicopter over the city21 November 2016, 13:58A very interesting image - a lot in a small space without feeling unnecessarily cramped or busy. Well done.
Flower21 November 2016, 2:26The issue is that we are all gauging difficulty on different scales. For instance, if a puzzle cannot be solved without guessing or using hints, I immediately gauge it as at least above average, but I'm sure not everyone has the same rating. They need to have a list of criteria they'd like us to rate the difficulty by, to improve consistency.
Know-Nothing21 November 2016, 2:07It's a pretty image. Is this a character from a story? I tried Googling it, but all I found was a disturbingly xenophobic political party from the U.S. in the 1800's.
Bird20 November 2016, 21:03Beautiful plumage idn't it? ;)
Hippo20 November 2016, 20:14Funny you say that, ggg, because Marjorie the Trash Heap from Fraggle Rock is who I thought of as soon as I saw it. Though it still makes for a decent image of it's titled animal. Super easy, but worth it for such a cute pic.
Cheburashka19 November 2016, 14:21I looked up the character, it reminds me of the Monchhichi toys we had when I was a kid, only WAY cuter. This is a good likeness.
Kolobok17 November 2016, 12:00I like that I learn interesting new things on this site. I checked out the Kolobok character, and it's a fascinating glimpse at how different cultures end up creating similar characters in our fables and fairy tales.
Cube17 November 2016, 8:14Needs some work. The cube shape isn't at all square, the shadows don't line up and the letters pretty haphazard - the B is even lower-case while the A is capitalized.
Fish14 November 2016, 7:17Kinda cute, kinda creepy. :)
The puppys holiday14 November 2016, 4:18Very sweet image.
