Fish19 December 2023, 19:34I'm not a big fan of checkerboard patterns but you use it here sparingly and effectively to add texture to the final picture without having any large sections of eye-bleeding counting one-by-one.
Matcha Boba4 December 2023, 23:54Checkerboards just take up time and produce eye-strain. They don't make puzzles an interesting challenge, just an irritation. And they don't really add anything to the beauty of the finished picture that you can't achieve with other effects.
Virtual Pet1 December 2023, 21:26Having a ton of one-pixel chunks alternating like that doesn't make it more interesting or challenging, it just makes it time-consuming and irritating.
Buzz Lightyear18 October 2023, 22:0453 moves
Woody18 October 2023, 17:35You can set a Custom Palette. It makes the pic look trippy while you're making it, but makes it easier to distinguish the colors.
Woody18 October 2023, 17:3452 moves
Yoda17 October 2023, 19:11did it in 42 moves (counting the final automatic one)
Link17 October 2023, 17:02Wonderful selection!
Feeder25 September 2023, 23:36Good use of negative space.
Manta Ray11 July 2023, 17:13There is an art to using different shades of the same color, they have to be visually distinct. If I swap to a custom palette and the puzzle goes from impossible to easy, then you haven't made something that's a fun challenge and a test of my ability to do the math and solve the puzzle. You're just giving me eye-strain trying to distinguish between four near-identical blues.
Eurasian Bullfinch7 July 2023, 19:09From literally the first pixel I was like, "this is a eurasian bullfinch".
Diamond6 July 2023, 17:23Tiny areas... a few close shades of all the same color... this wasn't a fun challenge, it was just irritating.
Little bear in space30 June 2023, 22:23I liked your use of non-continuous objects to define the negative space, good puzzle.
Kitten30 June 2023, 18:58This is an interesting example of making a tiny puzzle moderately difficult without just making a lot of small areas of similar colors.

I don't know if you designed this image yourself or found it and uploaded it but I like it a lot, thank you.
A glass of... grape juice28 June 2023, 19:39This conveyed a tremendously clear and specific image for something so small and low-res. Fantastic job.
Maids28 June 2023, 18:04Very similar colors, lots of very white colors. Not great design.
Revolver28 June 2023, 16:19No, it isn't "like any other". That's like saying it shouldn't matter if you eat a cheeseburger or a salad, they should each get you equally fat because they're all just food, with no differences between them.
Revolver28 June 2023, 16:18Same.
Revolver28 June 2023, 16:18Not to nitpik but... not every gun is a revolver.
Chamomile In Color28 June 2023, 0:28I'm not very fond of basically-white colors... I've tried to find a setting that lets me change the default color of the white background. Should I just use a custom palette for the colors themselves to get around this, or is there a better way?
Fox27 June 2023, 23:59So cute, I love it.
Berly (Omori)27 June 2023, 23:27There are sprites which are fun to solve. But having a lot of very similar colors, all in very small sections, is just eye-straining.

I never said all sprites are bad. But the point of a nonogram is to be a fun challenge of math and memory and pattern recognition, not trying to make people distinguish between three similar shades of blue.
Donkey Kong27 June 2023, 21:54Perfect little potato chip puzzle, thank you.
Carrot27 June 2023, 21:49Nine shades for 3 colors, the longest stretch was 3 and there was only one of those. Copying a sprite from a video game doesn't usually make for a fun challenge, just an irritation.
The frog is a traveler27 June 2023, 18:12Very good. I like the original idea. Parts of the frog were a bit fiddly with very similar shades and tiny areas, but overall a good puzzle.
Chick27 June 2023, 15:22Adorable. Exactly the quick little thing I was looking for today.

To the person above talking about how some people will say "too easy", we're searching by tiny and color. This is the appropriate place for easy puzzles.
Color Camel27 June 2023, 0:56This is good. The colors are close, but distinct enough that it's not difficult to tell them apart.
Berly (Omori)26 June 2023, 23:17Lots of very similar colors, lots of very small sections. Time-consuming and irritating without being a fun challenge.
Potato26 June 2023, 20:41A lot of very similar colors and one-pixel areas. More irritating than a challenge.
Vaporeon (Pokemon)24 August 2022, 1:26So many similar shades. 3 blues, 2 dark blues, 2 grays. This isn't even a challenge, it's just irritating.
Frog10 November 2020, 23:29Not a fan of a large number of very similar shades.
Duck7 January 2020, 5:05Tedious rather than difficult. A lot of single-pixel chunks and a ton of colors bare shades apart. Hurt my eyes.
Master Ball (Pokemon)16 December 2019, 16:24Not fun or interesting, just a drill to fill in individual pixels of extremely similar color. Felt like a chore.
Potted Clover14 December 2019, 23:15Similar colors, tons of orphan pixels. Not a fun challenge, just a tedious trawl.
Marinet Dupen-Chen25 November 2019, 4:11The title isn't spelled properly. Look up Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir.
Happy little cloud25 October 2019, 17:56I love it. It's on the easy side but it's what an easy puzzle should be.
Lancashire Heeler (Dog)24 October 2019, 19:51Perfect. If it's going to be simple, be simple. I like that it was quick and refreshing and not just an eye-straining exercise in placing dozens of individual squares of subtly varying shades.
Blue Chicken (Stardew Valley)21 October 2019, 23:27Nice picture. Not a difficult puzzle, though. Just time consuming.
Bunny (Easter)20 October 2019, 5:11Not difficult, but very time-consuming. Pretty simple but nit-picky as you strain you eyes trying to match them up one by one.

I think having a barely off-white color should be disallowed.
Luke Triton (Layton)19 October 2019, 2:34It's not a difficult puzzle, just an extremely easy but time-consuming one.
Crab16 October 2019, 15:34I'm not personally a fan of the ones with shades so close together but there are people who prefer that.
Medal3 March 2019, 4:20Ah, at first I thought
shuttlecock
, but I see it.
Lollapalooza21 February 2019, 18:54Meh. Less of a puzzle and more of just time-consumption. There wasn't much to figure out, just a bunch of solid rows to fill in per simple instructions. I prefer something that asks me to think.
Gotta Collect 'em All15 February 2019, 20:02So, is the "not quite right" title supposed to reflect the "not quite right" picture?
Duck23 January 2019, 15:40You do a lot with a little. I like it.
Cutlery20 January 2019, 2:00I like the negative-space ones, but they're often too easy. This one wasn't especially difficult but not for the same reasons, I like it! I hope you do other, perhaps more challenging negative-space ones.
Bird19 January 2019, 1:23I do mind that you don't mind that Urquimedes minds.
Starfish8 January 2019, 21:19
Okay, I thought pinwheel but I see it now.
The sunny Day8 January 2019, 19:28Tough challenge, I did not have the time or mental energy to consider doing this without the X's. gorgeous picture, extremely well-done. Thank you for making this!
Dog13 December 2018, 6:56I think this is the most difficult one I've ever managed to do without marking blanks. Very well done!
