She says that her every night reminds her of the princess and the pea story. I shall suggest that she changes her name from Julie to Stacey tomorrow.

Escalator	9 December 2022, 22:34	In the UK we have to stand on the right on escalators so that people who are in a rush can run up on the left - and therefore (in the UK) can undertake you. I just wonder if in the USA you have to stand on the left???

Pufferfish	6 December 2022, 15:35	In the UK we have what are called fish and chip shops. They sell fried, battered fish fillets (usually haddock and cod but never pufferfish), chips and mushy peas. When I was a lad they were always fried in beef dripping & then wrapped up in sheets of old newspapers to be taken home or eaten on the way home. The shops are called things like Heptonstall Fish Shop, Eric's fish & chips, even Mr Cod & Mrs Haddock! Not 100 yards from my house was a fish and chip shop run by a couple of Chinese descent who called their shop "Puffies" and had a picture of a pufferfish on the shop frontage. To this day I know not why!

They had a teenage boy who slept in the attic with his bed directly underneath a roof window. His screams could be heard for miles as she dive bombed though the open window!
