Gander	10 December 2017, 20:00	ggg - Geese don't have lips - they have beaks. Mean beaks. Evil beaks. They keep their beaks tight shut and their necks down until just before contact. They also hiss at you when they charge. And then it hurts. It hurts a lot when it hits your leg. It hurts a whole lot more if they don't keep their neck right down. Ganders can swallow a child up to about the age of 4 years old - whole. They have to chomp on a small adult. A bigger adult stands only a slim chance against a gander - if they are brave enough! If you are chased by a gander - you must stand your ground - turn around - bare your bum at the gander and shout "BOO" very loudly. (Disclaimer - this might not work every time - or even at all - especially if his neck is not well down!
