On the scooter22 December 2017, 20:06Funny how the sun is always on the horizon. Maybe it is, six months a year, in parts of the Russian-speaking world. (I'm joking--I know they do it to fill in space. But why not a bird? A branch? A UFO?) (Wait! I said I wouldn't be negative until I tried to design one of these myself... clearly I am not me today...)
Sing, bird22 December 2017, 19:41Challenging.
A mother's love22 December 2017, 19:15Quite the accomplishment for a small space and quite identifiable from the thumbnail (although the gangsta works, too). Nice design.
Master Yoda22 December 2017, 2:07Excellent, Irina! A lot of character and detail in a small space!
Bunny22 December 2017, 0:49Every time I see this picture I snicker... really amusing, FF! The beauty of humor is captured here!

Cuttlefish22 December 2017, 0:18When I came back to the thumbnail, the cuttlefish jumped out at me. I'd been looking at it all wrong. It's an amazing picture all of the sudden!
A woman with a stroller21 December 2017, 23:26Oh, and by the way, my cheating is very logical and carefully considered for maximum impact. ;)
A woman with a stroller21 December 2017, 23:25I suspect that what is considered logic by some is considered guessing or trial and error by others. But please continue this heated discussion as the nonogram Olympics are certainly right around the corner (haha!). Personally, I do them for relaxation and if I'm real tense I may *start* by cheating. So there!
Houseplant21 December 2017, 23:12Nice hint, TC.
The Fox and the crane21 December 2017, 22:56Aesop's fables.
Georgians21 December 2017, 22:44I suspect this refers to the Republic of Georgia, where Russian is spoken. Alexander may be Georgian, as he does not indicate his place of origin. As for the "in joke," I *could* ask my Georgian friends... but maybe not, just in case... ;)
Lady21 December 2017, 21:13OMG, I was looking at the thumbnail all wrong. I didn't get it until I saw the title! Very nice!
Lady21 December 2017, 21:11Here's one that's easier to see in the larger version than in the thumbnail, imho. Very challenging. Impressive! I love your work, Tverianka!
Cat21 December 2017, 19:27I feel that way about everything on the Internet, TC! But in it comes!
Saxophone21 December 2017, 19:10Good one, zekko!
Bird21 December 2017, 18:28I understand that puzzles that were once difficult became much easier with experience. And challenges I could have met happily when healthy may be too frustrating when sick. It's not a contest. There's no shame in using hints or cheating if that's what you need to do to enjoy yourself. Why am I writing this? No one will read it. Haha!
Dinosaur21 December 2017, 18:14You're right, Marycha! Please complain as I cannot delete my comment... ; )
Dragon21 December 2017, 7:18Beautiful. You give your characters real character, Tverianka! And you give us a real challenge. Thank you!
Sparrow the gentleman21 December 2017, 4:53Tverianka, you design beautiful black and white crosswords making creative use of negative space and--I don't know how you do this--but making them fun and challenging to solve. Really well done!
Ant21 December 2017, 3:02Ants are famous for being able to carry more than their own weight, although this might be just a leaf.
The volcano19 December 2017, 23:15I don't think this person ever actually saw one of these in action... The one in our neighborhood looked more like a mushroom cloud that just kept going and going...

Winter is coming!19 December 2017, 6:50Fun!
Emily (Stardew Valley)19 December 2017, 4:41I'm not familiar with the characters you draw, but the thumbnail on this one is amazing. You did a great job blending the colors--you did a beautiful job, for example, for capturing the blue/black hair. Thank you!

Fox17 December 2017, 4:32So fun to work on! Love the colors! Love the personality!
Black currant16 December 2017, 22:25I thought it was going to be a crow with an attitude. I've never seen a black currant. We have black berries here--like raspberries only they smell and taste better and are considered weeds because they are brambles and take over the garden. Fun puzzle!
Jump16 December 2017, 22:00Alien creature perhaps? An undiscovered member of the dinosaur family, tiny variety? Or laboratory experiment crossing a frog (green), cat or lizard (tail), fish (one eye) every kind of baby (big eye), and a hippo (what I was sure it was going to be)? Not sure the foot/feet is/are functional. Very creative. Definitely cute. Fun. I appreciate these unconventional crosswords.

Bear14 December 2017, 2:20Sweet was my first reaction, too.
Hide and Seek14 December 2017, 2:00What fun! Difficult to predict the outcome. It seems to me that all puzzles start out with a 2.5 rating and then we vote them up to the rating they deserve?
