Viola tricolor28 November 2017, 3:37A creative and artistic design with beautiful colors. I had no idea what it was going to be until I figured out what the mistranslation was (not a musical instrument, I'm quite sure)!
Merry Christmas28 November 2017, 3:16I love this, Darya! Since I can't go down to micro size, I had to cheat on the right-hand-side, but it was still a lot of fun--especially the upper left hand side. Beautifully done! Great action shot! Спасибо за прекрасный кроссворд!
Grenades27 November 2017, 0:37This must be a mistranslation from our Russian-hosted site. Although [spoiler alert] [pun intended] if you used over-ripe pomegranates as weapons, they might *function* like a grenade...

It's art, Dasha!

Cheburashka24 November 2017, 3:24A fun nonogram and an insight into a bit of Russian culture. This is a picture of [spoiler alert!] a character from a 1966 story by Soviet writer Eduard Uspensky. Cheburashka, an animal with large monkey-like ears and a cub-like body, lives in a tropical forest. He gets into a crate of oranges, eats his fill, and falls asleep. The crate is delivered to a grocery store in Russia. The store manager sets the creature on the table. He tumbles off (cheburakhnulsya="tumble"). The store manager names him "Cheburashka".
