Cat on the roof22 March 2020, 22:12clever use of negative space
Family of giraffes20 March 2020, 13:13a friendly note: when you post a comment that gives away the answer, please use the spoiler tag. It's a little button below the text box that looks like a cartoon quote. Hit the button, then type your comment in between the {spoiler} and the {/spoiler} (if these were real tags, the words "and the" would not show)
Unfortunately if you don't use the tags, a few people around here may get irritable, and sometimes even rude. ;-)
N. V. Gogol19 March 2020, 4:37This is one of those puzzles that doesn't look so great until you look at the thumbnail. When you go back to the list of puzzles, check it out. It's amazing how good it is.
Bell18 March 2020, 20:25Agreed! although a roll or two of toilet paper might be even more welcome. ;-)
Mongrel13 March 2020, 4:50Actually, if you use the search feature and search by size, you can find a puzzle that's only 4 by 6. Then there are a bunch that are 5 by 5. Such tiny puzzles can be a lot of fun. This one is especially nice I think.
Waiter7 March 2020, 0:37truly great in the thumbnail
Fish6 March 2020, 20:04It could be that or it could be
a strangely large person with a small head sitting cross-legged on a skateboard while looking into a hand mirror
Umbrella3 March 2020, 23:04sweet puzzle: A little challenging to get started, very satisfying to finish.
Raccoon3 March 2020, 5:21I had no idea what it was until I looked at the thumbnail, and that made it all the more fun and challenging to solve. Honestly, I don't know how the puzzle designers do it.
Last thing the sandwich saw22 February 2020, 17:17
I get it now. But after I saw the title, I was looking for a giant open mouth with teeth. For most sandwiches, that is what they see just before they literally go to meet their maker. ;-)
Thanks again for all your amazing, witty puzzles

Bunny with carrot5 February 2020, 17:36my favorite kind of puzzle! Nice and small for my old eyes. Starts off slow with little spurts of progress. Unrecognizable picture until just at the end when it all comes together in a triumphant rush. THANKS!
Damsel in Distress26 January 2020, 17:29
Interesting. I very clearly saw the damsel. But then the the author explained the picture and I had to do a double take. In my first version, the damsel is the whole large object on the right. She is very large compared to the knight because she is in the foreground. She is wearing a crown and has her hand up to her mouth, perhaps nervously biting her nails.

The knight on horseback appeared in the thumbnail. That part is VERY impressive.
Bird25 January 2020, 18:58I loved the way it was just a little tricky to get started. There was a challenging section with a moment of panic and finally, after a bit of work, the solution appeared in a satisfying rush.
Baby yoda20 January 2020, 18:04I concur.
Bee on a flower17 January 2020, 16:29I agree it was a fun challenge.
After I saw the title I could understand what the author intended, but I see a cartoon-like bunny face. I think the wings of the bee look more like bunny ears. Maybe he is wearing some kind of hat with the ears sticking out. The petals of the flower look like his furry cheeks. The bee's face forms the rabbit's eyes and nose.
Dog16 January 2020, 10:29I don't know how you manage to get such expression and personality into such a tiny space. One second it looks like random pixels, and the next it's complete.
Dog12 January 2020, 3:48me too!
Olivier salad11 January 2020, 17:57fun puzzle. A little challenging to get started then the rest just flowed in a satisfying way. As an added bonus, google the title for more information. Sounds yummy.
Christmas ball10 January 2020, 6:19Usually I love Yvan's puzzles and this one was fun to do, but I just can't figure out the picture, even in the thumbnail.
I guess the "Christmas Ball" title is referring to a dance. I can kind of see the man dancing, but his partner is a dark blob. To me, s/he/it looks most like an alligator standing upright or a human sized wasp with her front legs around the man's neck. Or maybe it's a guy putting an ornament i.e. a "Christmas ball" on a very misshapen tree.
Can anyone help me out?
Lollipop6 January 2020, 0:35
I'd call it a candy cane.
Sheep29 December 2019, 22:16I see a very nice picture of a white dove flying toward the right. She is over a forest with four trees. ;-) thanks for the puzzle anyway. It was fun to solve.
Flacon29 December 2019, 18:56
or a Maltese flacon ;-)
Squirrel28 December 2019, 11:18It's true you can do any of the puzzles again, but I don't think you are able to hide the solutions if you have finished them. Seeing the picture appear is always a treat, and I can't think of a way to have that experience a second time for a given puzzle without signing in as guest.
Turtle22 December 2019, 19:27tough to start but the picture in the end was worth it.

Soldier bug9 December 2019, 7:55I used google images and found a bunch that looked like the picture in the puzzle. I learned all about it. ;-) It's a
Oechalia schellenbergii AKA Schellenberg's soldier bug AKA spiny predatory shield bug. Interestingly, this insect has 5 different nymph stages. Transition is by shedding the skin. The adult is brown with wings, but the nymphs or juvenile forms are black with different red patterns for each stage Some look a lot like the ones in the puzzle. I guess to be totally accurate, the title of the puzzle should have been "baby soldier bug"
A lover to relax4 November 2019, 7:16
For the title you should say either "He (or It) Loves to Relax" OR " A Lover of Relaxation" Please don't think I'm complaining. I love your puzzles! I just can't help myself. I'm an English teacher and many of my students make this kind of error when English is not their first language.
Shooting range4 November 2019, 6:45All the puzzles start with a 2.5 (average) for both picture and difficulty. The numbers go up or down as people rate them. As I write this, the difficulty rating has already gone up to 3, and the picture rating is at a well-deserved 4.
