Yellow Bunny10 September 2022, 17:38But doesn't it look like a beaver tail?
Baby10 September 2022, 17:21It's fine if I concentrate. As soon as I stop, those top seven white spaces become three eyes.
Donald9 September 2022, 21:14It would need a great deal more orange.
Strawberry9 September 2022, 17:05"Interesting logic." Or a couple of really stupid mistakes. I didn't exactly *choose* the second option, but ...
Sea9 September 2022, 2:14I'd love to be beside your side beside the sea, beside the seaside by the beautiful sea.

(It's got to be sung to be appreciated.)
Coffee9 September 2022, 0:57It wasn't until I was well along on the right third of the puzzle that I realized what the left third was going to end up being. Very nice.
Bee8 September 2022, 20:46So, not tigerfish then?
Viking7 September 2022, 19:46I was thinking deep sea diver too. But maybe we're looking at his back?
Kitty6 September 2022, 17:56That catnip mouse doesn't have long to live.
Banana5 September 2022, 17:36My only problem with the colors is that I really don't think I would eat a banana that was tan.
Sheep5 September 2022, 6:05Blue, yellow, and green all done, and I was halfway through the black before I had a clue.
Pear5 September 2022, 0:19Very nice. I did the first two colors and I knew already where this was going.
Apple3 September 2022, 18:29To me the leaves looked like beet leaves (and why I think I would recognize beet leaves I couldn't say), but the colors were too bright and cheerful. Nothing about beets is cheerful. Yuckaroni.
The map3 September 2022, 18:09I thought it vaguely resembled New Zealand (whither we soon will be going, and which is therefore on my mind). I missed the flag entirely.
Dragon2 September 2022, 23:17First it was a camel. Then some sort of deer/antelope. Then a camel again--with horns, but with that blanket draped over its hump what else could it be?
Frog2 September 2022, 17:31Working from the bottom up, I knew fairly early it was a frog; but when I got to row 8 I foolishly thought the two black squares were the eyes.
**abrupt change of subject**
I spend time on a site with a completely different sort of puzzle. Just before I came here to do this, the last puzzle I saw back there was called "Kermit".
Ladybug1 September 2022, 16:28*raises hand*
Leaf1 September 2022, 0:56If you mean clicking the "small" button at the top when you've chosen b&w or colo(u)r, that's what I do. If you mean something more complicated than that, I don't know what it is.
Brush and Palette31 August 2022, 20:06That makes three of us.
Leaf31 August 2022, 1:51Many thanks--but I doubt you'll find many. I rarely do medium puzzles. I'm frustrated by having to decide whether I want the grid large enough to read the numbers or small enough so that I can see the numbers and the target at the same time.
TV30 August 2022, 20:16I remember when there were in fact test patterns, but it seems to me that by the time color came around, the day of the test pattern was over.
Duck30 August 2022, 20:02I had a bit of trouble seeing it until I realized it was looking over its shoulder.
Stationery knife30 August 2022, 19:46Box cutter.
Cat30 August 2022, 18:10Let me amend that. It's not so bad in the thumbnail. It was in what somebody called the "victory screen". If you solve in full-screen mode (as I always do, being too old to deal with tiny numbers), upon completion you get a reduced-size picture of the solution. Smaller than the default size, but larger than a thumbnail. That's where I had a problem.
Cat30 August 2022, 18:05Unfortunately, when viewed in the thumbnail, the difference between the red and the black becomes negligible, and it looks like the poor creature has five eyes. Otherwise, very amusing.
Elephant30 August 2022, 2:25The footprints in the Jell-O were a dead giveaway.
Baby Elephant30 August 2022, 1:52Mrs B. still trying to catch her breath. My fault. I should have allowed her to recover from the first joke before reading her the second.
Baby Elephant30 August 2022, 1:50It was what? ... a maze of some sort? Until half a dozen pixels before the end when the solution popped.
Guitar29 August 2022, 18:25Definitely a key, until it wasn't.
Origami - crane29 August 2022, 1:20Very nice, even if I'm not terribly fond of the palette.
Yoshi29 August 2022, 0:08I'll show you my age: after I leaned back and stopped trying to make the nostrils eyes, I said, "Wonderful! It's Albert from Pogo." Anybody out there old enough to remember Pogo?
Lavender28 August 2022, 0:59I'm really puzzled by most of the comments. I placed my first square incorrectly, but as soon as I fixed that it was plain sailing--done in 13:05. But tedious, only being able to fill in one or two squares at a time. And I didn't find the result very rewarding either.

(Still much better than anything I've submitted, which would be ... er, nothing.)
Watermelon26 August 2022, 19:50Just what I was about to say.
Corn26 August 2022, 18:32Definitely a lizard, until it wasn't.
Looks like APPLE logo26 August 2022, 18:16With a couple of mega-bites taken out.

Felix the Cat24 August 2022, 17:35Whenever he gets in a fix he reaches into his bag of tricks!
Dove of Peace23 August 2022, 6:12You're right. A summer has to continually add swallow after swallow.
Moon Crescent22 August 2022, 17:57Very pretty, but it does make one wonder who went to the moon to paint stars on the surface.
Cheese22 August 2022, 0:45I was thinking it must have been necessary for the puzzle to have a unique solution.
Boxing glove20 August 2022, 23:39Colors too close, numbers too small, and final picture not very well defined. Like loxie, I just gave up.

That being said, I want to thank l-master (or is it I-master? Upper case i or lower case L? I hate sans-serif fonts.) for submitting it. It's more than I've ever done.
Dump truck19 August 2022, 7:19Till the very end I thought it was a train headed left, with a big black cowcatcher.
On the beach19 August 2022, 1:25I look at a picture like this and my first thought is skin cancer; which I modify to "really bad sunburn" followed by it's far too hot anyway.
The ball18 August 2022, 20:45The white space made it look like nothing at all until it was finished. Nice work!
Shrek17 August 2022, 19:19I recognized it, but I agree the lighter green needed to be less like yellow.
Frying Pan16 August 2022, 1:26We've recently been seeing a lot of a commercial in which the bacon strips stand up and dance above the pan, just like this.
Coaxing the Butterfly15 August 2022, 18:04Smaller isn't helping me.
Clover15 August 2022, 6:13Our back yard was also mostly clover. We'd search and search for four-leafed ones without success. Then my mother would lean out of her chair and pick one. Happened more than once. It was uncanny.
