Automobile28 July 2022, 6:41Ina metal box by the back door. You hoped to get there soon in he winter so the milk didn't freeze and push the paper cap off. (And then you'd have to let it thaw so you could shake it up so all the cream wasn't at the top any more.)

Sneaker26 July 2022, 21:56Thanks. I always solve in full-screen mode, so "the box under the puzzle" took me a moment to understand. (At my age, those dang numbers need to be as big as I can make them.)

My brother was coasting down a long hill and didn't manage to stop at the bottom. Not before he broadsided a passing police car, that is. No damage to him or the police, but I don't remember the state of the bike or the police car.

Sneaker18 July 2022, 0:30I didn't know there was an undo function?
Masked17 July 2022, 2:57At first I thought it was a person. Then clearly not a person, so a monkey. But it wasn't a very good monkey, certainly not up to mindscrub's standards. With the title though it's excellent.
Masked17 July 2022, 2:54Not for an old fart with a heart condition like me.
Skeletal Baby17 July 2022, 2:37I was thinking one of those prehistoric Venus figures. Some of the details didn't work very well, but the overall shape fits.
Giraffe16 July 2022, 22:01Stunning and elegant!
Good dog14 July 2022, 1:07Tedious--I can't see that the very dark brown is different enough from the black to make any difference, unless you're so close that you see pixels instead of a picture.

Cat20 June 2022, 1:05Very handsome.
Ear of corn20 June 2022, 0:39Generally speaking, "cob" is used for what is left after the kernels are removed, whereas "ear" is what's on the plant. So, if we find an ear of corn on our plate, we call it "corn on the cob".
Birdie17 June 2022, 5:46It is, fortunately, not a real conspiracy theory, but a satire on conspiracy theories. (At least that's what They told me.)
Day of the Tentacle14 June 2022, 23:08Not too bad, considering the resolution. Never heard of the game, but here's what I got on image search.

Rose14 June 2022, 21:32I saw the colors. But strangely the what-else-could-it-be watermelon never emerged.
Lamp14 June 2022, 17:58When the two sand colors were adjacent I had no problem. But as soon as an orange came between them I was lost. I thought I'd have the same trouble with the greys, but they were fine. Anyway, now it's done I can appreciate the shading. Nice!
Bull14 June 2022, 5:55I suppose they must have belly buttons of some sort, but it looks out of place nonetheless.
Under the neighbor's fence13 June 2022, 1:01Very sneaky, hiding the trademark 4-5 in amongst all those 1's.
Hiker13 June 2022, 0:46Just click on "answer" when you get there.
Expectation11 June 2022, 21:31I had to stare at it for several minutes to rediscover the answer. (It's been over a year, and my mind is not what it was.) The thing on the left is not a clock: it's an alligator/crocodile egg, and the parent (who's "expecting") is waiting for the crack to widen and the baby to emerge.
Dump her! no more adventures!11 June 2022, 21:26And somehow, after 2 1/2 years, I have no recollection of what this is.

Elephant8 June 2022, 20:48I was maybe halfway through, and it was looking not much like anything. Then I did the four black squares and it was unmistakably what it is.

First ride2 June 2022, 4:47Did Grandma ask for the wheelie?
Rose1 June 2022, 21:45I always love the puzzles yec72 gives us, but I'm having to cry uncle on this one. I cannot get a magnification that will allow me to get the bottom of the monogram on the screen at the same time as the numbers and still have the numbers large enough to see. Perhaps it can be solved by row only, but if so, not by me. (I looked at the solution, and it is certainly lovely.)

Edvard Munch - The Scream29 May 2022, 0:22I don't think this was really meant for a canvas this small. Either a larger puzzle or a more restrained palette--I find the final result too pixellated to be effective. Nonetheless, I am definitely impressed by the skill that got this quite recognizable.
Tipper27 May 2022, 6:53Is it an old truck from the Soviet Union? 'Cause it looks like CCCP on the side. (Actually, like CCCCP, but I'm willing to overlook an extra Cyrillic S.)
Blondie Bumstead26 May 2022, 6:13I learned that originally Blondie was a flapper and Dagwood was the scion of a wealthy family. (I don't remember whether he was chasing her or she was chasing him, and if the latter whether she had a heart of gold or was a gold-digger.) But the Great Depression came and his family lost their money, which is why I grew up thinking the Bumsteads were just your average middle class family.
Daisy Bumstead24 May 2022, 16:16Immediately recognizable (especially after the last puzzle).
