Explosion4 February 2022, 18:28Too damn many 1s to make it anything but tedious. However, I've never contributed a single puzzle; it's a difference of opinion that allows for horse racing*; and I'm a grumpy old man who has reached the stage where I complain about everything.

*Or, as my mother used to say, if we all agreed on everything, think what a haggis shortage there would be.

Pigeons2 February 2022, 17:09You may not know, being over there in Yorkshire, but the state of Utah is two states away from the nearest ocean. And not our dinky states either. But the state bird of Utah is the seagull. The reason? There was once a plague of locusts devastating the Utahan crops. But a flock (or a hundred flocks or something) of seagulls appeared, apparently having followed those yummy locusts and gobbled them all up, saving Utah from the inevitable famine.

Hot air balloon31 January 2022, 1:57The pattern relieved me of some truly tedious counting. Very nice.
Cube29 January 2022, 18:55It does work a little better in the thumbnail though.
Cube29 January 2022, 18:54Interesting composition; but even allowing for the limitations of pixellation those sides are neither equal nor straight. But I agree with Celandine, so maybe the toy is made of really malleable plastic and the kid has it in a state of torsion.
Berry cake29 January 2022, 5:53I thought it was a banana split, but the colors were not at all appetizing. Much better as a cake.
Cake28 January 2022, 18:34Just found out it's my nephew's birthday. I think he's forty. How depressing--I think that means I'm old.
Fox27 January 2022, 5:49My best guess was fire, but once I saw the title it's unmistakeable. Beautiful work!

Lightning McQueen19 January 2022, 18:34Disney/Pixar's "Cars".
