Japanese crossword «Cock»

In response to some of the above comments, I suspect most people learning English as a second language (in school, for instance) don't learn the word "rooster" and don't know about the double meaning of the word "cock". Language courses are often too formal and old-fashioned. For instance, in my 8 years of French in school I never learned that the pronoun "nous" - meaning "we" or "us" is seldom if ever used in spoken French - the indefinite pronoun "on" is used instead.
