Good heavens, it could be a picture of Venice! I didn't understand what I was seeing until I looked at the small picture. Amazing!

As far as I know, venetian gondoliers stand in their boats and use a pole, but this guy sits and rows. So I think it's Amsterdam or Copenhagen.
