I like the way you back-lit the pregnant woman so she seems to glow. This is a sweet picture. I had trouble with it because I always have trouble with puzzles that are more than 25-30 tall. I can't see well enough to do them. But I am so sorry it hasn't gotten a good rating.
replyThe more I think about it, the more I like this beautiful puzzle! Welcome, Charl! Good work!
replyActually quite a good challenge. I do like the use of "backlight" (to quote Sheryl) to frame the lady and her baby. The image loses clarity at her head/face, and that makes it hard to really see what the image is. The important bit is easier to see, though. ;)
replyI don't think this one is solvable entirely by logic. There has to be some trial and error and that spoils it for me.

When you get stuck, use a hint and pay attention to how it was derived. Check out the last method for solving crosswords. There are no puzzles on the site that can't be solved by logic. There are plenty of puzzle-solvers who don't enjoy the Extreme Logic puzzles. Others love them. Who can explain?

Sheryl - I never use hints (that sounds big-headed I know) - but I just keep going as I know "There are no puzzles on the site that can't be solved by logic" - this one REALLY tested my logic - but I got there!!!

I solved it without hints and without trial and error. At one point I got stuck, but then I saw that I missed one single little determining situation and I managed to finish it.
So at the end, no hints or trial and error.

Not that hard to solve, but a lovely image.
replyStrange how difficulty is different for different people, to me this was easy as pie. The pic is okay
replyNo trial and error. The bottom part is easy. Working from the bottom up becomes a slight bit challenging when you get to the top part, but absolutely doable without hints or guessing. A GREAT puzzle with a delightful result.

I solved it only using logic. Like 'The-Gram' said, the bottom part is pretty easy, with the top 7 to 10 lines requiring some deduction. Just go line by line, square by square.
