weird creature with crosses growing out of its back? hill in a cemetery?
replyI believe it is intended to represent Golgotha, the site of Jesus's crucifixion. While I'm no scholar, if I remember correctly Golgotha means 'place of skulls', and although I believe it is a metaphorical term (because it was a site for crucifixions) rather than literal (actually looking like a skull), I do enjoy this interpretation. Thank you for making my morning interesting.
