I couldn't figure it out until I looked at the thumbnail and then I couldn't figure out how I missed it except that I've seen so many more pictures of Snoopy sitting on his doghouse pretending to be a vulture than of real vultures sitting in trees. We see actual wild vultures all the time, but they fly high above us--they are beautiful at that angle. And distance. ;)
Impressive. Yes Sheryl, we see them here also (probably saw 20 or more today as I had to drive about 150 mi. return) and they are so striking.

So often I find I've been trying to make something part of the picture (even a principal part) when in fact it's nothing but space. And of course vice versa. I had to read the title to correct my misapprehension here; and then it was time for self-flagellation for not seeing this excellent depiction on my own.
