Serious memory alert! When I was a young boy
My mother would join the 2 mittens with a length of wool. one mitten would be threaded up inside one sleeve of my winter coat & down the other sleeve, so the when I put the coat on & the mittens on my hands - it was impossible to do what most children do - lose one mitten
