Wonder was it just me but I found this quite difficult at the start. Nice puzzle and good picture.
replyNot just you, Richard. It's a challenging puzzle. :)
replyAverage for me. About 35 minutes to solve (no hint, no guess).

Okay, so here's AI's version: Recursive thinking involves solving complex problems by breaking them down into smaller, identical subproblems. This approach is often used in computer science and other fields to tackle intricate tasks by repeatedly applying a similar process to simpler versions of the original problem.
Does that make it clear??

There are some advanced logics that are not that obvious. With time and thinking you eventually learn them.
For example, the nonogram 1955 was impossible for me. I practiced around 50 nonograms with similar sizes and high difficulty rating. I learned a few new tricks wich allowed me to finally make it.

I remember the one with Mont Saint-Michel, that was really hard, took me forever. Or maybe I wasn't advanced yet.
replyWhen you know the tricks obviously, in combination with detecting the problem lines/spots in the shortest time possible.
replyIt took me one and a half hour, but the end result is satisfying : )
replyVery tricky at start, but then it flows very easily.
replytook 11.54...tricky but not too bad without x's...what is recursion?

I got stuck at about 10 minutes and if I don't see a step very soon, I'm going to leave the puzzle and come back another time for a fresh look. As for "recursion," check out my response to Onono above and see if that helps any. (Spoiler: It probably won't.)
