Halfway through - I thought I had Jemima Puddle-Duck & a bit later I was sure I had a turkey - but I was SO wrong!

It was rewarding after the floodgates to the puzzle were open. Typical Tverianka. Don’t know how she (or he) keeps the suspense almost until the end.
