Again ... your comments are a downer. Why don't you stop giving the answers in your comments. Spoiler doesn't always work and not everyone knows how to use it in the beginning. Those of us who have been solving these for a while get that you are of more than average intelligence. You don't need to showboat.

The-Gram has done just that & has used the spoiler correctly.
Spoilers always work - it is just that some people can't help having a peek inside the spoiler - & then get upset when (in this case) they read a number of suggestions from The-Gram.

I have done hundreds of these "character" puzzles and I think I have only recognized two or three and they are from YEARS ago. I usually enjoy solving them and the spoilers NEVER affect me ... LOL. I must be OLDE !!! Reply

Thank you all and thank you yec72! My guess was the same as yall's. Several days back there was an excellent long vertical puzzle titled the same and it actually was the English definition. I usually look up these translations but this time I just thought I couldn't see it LOL.

this is a poisonous mushroom, they are many different. the common name of these mushrooms is called TOADSTOOL.
