As observances go, this has some issues. Sure, that there's one pixel difference in size between the two puzzles doesn't disprove it was ripped off, but combine that with a long-standing author on the site, whose version of the "yolks" is not shaped the same as the color puzzle you're referring to, and it becomes even more a matter of simple coincidence.
After all, Alfred Russel Wallace came up with the theory of evolution via natural selection at the same times as Darwin, but completely independently. It's not just great minds which think alike. :)
