My grandfather used to fix TV roof antennae as a side job, in and around their small population>3000 town, while he worked an assembly line at CAT. That such antennae pretty much no longer exist in the US, with the end of analog TV broadcasts, is a fitting metaphor for just how antiquated a mindset that man operated under.
