The phrase, dear hamflaps, is "minds out of the gutter" for sound historical reasons (see https://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20070113064721AAjS1Yy ). I am unaware of a precedent for correlating minds, toilets, and sexual impropriety. Also, I adore the elephant.

Yes, when I knitted my son a sweater with an elephant on it which had a trunk knitted separately and fastened on to the face, our pediatrician laughed at it and said that her mind was in the gutter. She just saw so many naked little boys, a lot more than she saw elephants.
