It's not a ball. It's behind the dog. It's a "gift" from the dog.
replyI did some playing around with the search function. if my findings are correct, this is the smallest puzzle on this entire website. and what a puzzle it is!

If you squint, you could see an open present box and an item that was taken out of it (The gift). I can see though why other people talk about a different "gift".
