Okay, I'm not waiting for UC. Head's too narrow. Beard's too short. Chest's too shallow. Seen these up close. They're hefty (and as my trivial fact of the day, can jump 5 feet straight up!). Sorry seans.

Don't bother waiting for me anymore. It's been made abundantly clear by the amount of hateful messages I get about my reviews, that my opinions are not welcome. While I'm usually happy to engage in a friendly war-of-words with those that disagree with me, I refuse to interact with those that are overtly violent in nature. I wanted to create an atmosphere where candid opinion on quality was the norm rather than the exception. Instead it seems I've only succeeded in breeding toxicity. I do not want to be the catalyst for that type of behavior. While I do not feel that I've done anything to warrant such personal attacks, I also do not want to give any fuel to people who deem such attacks appropriate. To that end, I'll use this platform one last time to address everyone who has sent me hateful, threatening and violent messages. In the words of so many you: "Chill out, it's just a puzzle."

I am so very sorry you have had a bad experience. I for one always took you at your name and expected you to live up to it.

replyMy first ever comment after doing several hundred puzzles to say: Please don't go, Ultracritical. We'll eat you up we love you so! I too really enjoy your comments. Anyone who's seen more than a couple of them can clearly see they're meant in a spirit of fun, and I'm sure it makes a setter's day when their efforts win that most rare and exquisite prize, Ultracritical's praise!

replyI am one of those who very much enjoyed your comments, UC! Thoughtful, knowledgeable, insightful. After completing a puzzle I would look down and see your take on it, and think "Oh goodie! An analysis!" I particularly like the analysis on solving difficulty, since I'm not experienced enough to be a speedy solver (only very rarely do I finish in less than the average time). Sorry you had hateful messages -- things that are completely out of place in a fun puzzle site.
