One of the things i like about this puzzle is that the background can be either a baking sun or two mountains. I wonder which interpretation would make me feel lonelier.

I like that the earth is in darkness and the heavens illuminated. The tree bridges the two. I keep seeing a moon at night, but I like the ambiguity.

I'm pretty sure it is a full moon in a dark sky, illuminating a sea with a silhouetted man in a boat just reaching a deserted island. Hopefully, he has a Wilson volleyball.
