Still remember our black rotary with the 2 letter prefix. Can't remember what I had for supper last night, but can still remember my original home phone number when I was 5.

And they never broke, and even if they did they'd get replaced for free. We moved while I was 5, so I can remember from 5 on, though not before. Although I do remember that our exchange was FIeldstone, and after the move it was TEnnyson. So much more personality than these crappy all-numeric ones.
