Plume: This is the mushroom sprite from the Mario Brothers game series. First game came out in the 1980's for the Ninetendo, but several more have been released since then.

The problem is, it doesn't really LOOK like the mushrooms in any Mario games, even early 8-bit versions. There isn't enough face below the cap, and I know it's a dirty word to some people on this site but, the dots on Mario mushroom caps are always symmetrical - generally with one dot centered in the front.
