I've always heard TNG as T&G -- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tongue_and_groove. Make of that what you will, but "buzzkill" doesn't quite fit. You were thinking "buzz saw", perhaps?

The bottom two rows were so clearly feet that I wasted a deal of invective on people who create puzzles based on characters from obscure (= I never played them) video games.
