Well, that's actually the time of day. The alarm hand was too fine to show up at this resolution. The one below shows the alarm at noon, which is even later. And the sweep second hand is on the 5.

I try not to wake up before 10:00 most days. I do not work and my children are grown and out of the house (well one still in college, but usually does not live with us). It is my time to relax in the morning and enjoy my quiet nights with my dog.
