Actually this is what Rabbit in Winnie the Pooh looks like in the Russian version of the cartoon. It's from 1969 and is quite popular. There's an amusing article on Buzzfeed about how the Russian version (called Vinni Pukh) is superior to the American version.

First I thought an owl, with big eyes at the top, then rabbit with big ears, then snail with eyes on stalks (but why not show the shell?) Good puzzle.
