I thoroughly enjoyed this puzzle. At times I had to look long and hard fir the next possible move and on a few occasions there was only one possible move, which would then open up other possibilities.
So here are some benchmarks for those who relish the extra challenges besides just solving the puzzle:
TIME: 1:00:05 (yep, took me just over an hour!
HINTS USED: 0
X’S USED: yes, and many of them. And if you can do this one without using x’s I sincerely bow down to you.
And here’s a new measure I haven’t seen reported before:
COUNTER: 895 (I’m using an iPad. The counter is in the first box immediately below the puzzle. I believe that as you work at solving the puzzle, the less x’s you enter manually,nether lower will be your counter score.
