I don't disagree that Disney deprivation is a good thing (I'm not normally a fan of aggressive alliteration, either), but remember that all the Disney movies are remakes of old stories. Don't dismiss them just because of their Disney treatment.

Since I am a reader, I read all of the stories to my girls. I also instilled a love for reading that has filtered down to all 9 of my grandkids.
