A beautiful picture of a big gun like this brings me good feelings, whereas a picture of a small gun gives me bad feelings. The other commenters seem to have similar attitudes. Did some of you play on cannons in parks, like I did as a child? I'm reminded of "Kim's Gun" in Lahore, which Kim and his friends play on in the beginning of Kipling's book about him.
