Well said. However, my sincere desire is to read all of mine before I leave this earth. I did not acquire ANY books in 2023 and was making a dent. Then, I discovered WEB Griffin. I am halfway through the Brotherhood of War series and have amassed the Badge of Honor series. I like fiction for bedtime reading. I am making a nice dent in the bookshelves with my lunch reading book and my bathroom reading book. It is my habit to be reading 3 at a time. Normally, a biography, a history and a fiction.

I'm pretty much fiction only. I just finished getting my library catalogued on the Libib site (? program? app?) and was a little surprised to find I had over 2500. And a lot of them alas! yet to be read. But I figure once I get to the Great Library I'll finish them, and all the series I don't have a complete set of, and a whole mess of good stuff I haven't even heard of.
