Bull sh. No more racist than depicting a fat guy wearing a MAGA cap and labelling it White American.
replyshow: 1 🗨
I do not understand why this would be racist.

I don't think it's racist at all. I think he's adorable, but then again, i think people's beauty comes from within and God created people who look different with different colors and features because he's an amazing artist with a more skilled hand, a broader paintbrush and an infinite selection of colors than we can imagine. Just acknowledging the differences is simply to elevate God to His proper place. Good job I enjoyed this puzzle.
replyAsian-Americans haven't looked like that for about 200 years.

I asked the AI: what is the most tolerant way to name a drawing with a portrait of a Chinese man? He advised to title it like this.
replyshow: 23 🗨
Bravo Vlan. Don't mind the "racist" noise, some people just can't stand the fact that different people look different.
replyshow: 20 🗨
There's a massive difference between people looking different and drawing them with stereotypes on purpose but ofcourse a racist like you wouldn't get that.
replyshow: 19 🗨
And this is coming from a man who supports bdsm drawings. :-)

The fact that you're so insecure about adressing the actual argument and instead have to move goalposts to something completely unrelated says a lot about you and how you don't like getting called out on your racism.
replyshow: 17 🗨
The biggest stupidity is making excuses for something you didn't do.
replyshow: 16 🗨
Well thanks for admitting that you're incredibly stupid but that isn't the thing you should be doing. You've been making worthless excuses as how this isn't racist and even going so far as to think you can dictate what counts as racism. You're nothing more but a racist who can't handle getting called out on his racism and are still too much of a coward to address the actual argument tho it's very understandable that a racist is incapable of that.

It makes no sense to talk to a lover of porn pictures.
replyshow: 14 🗨
Says the guy who justifies and loves being racist. Also feel free to quote where I said that, a racist like you should have no issue proving themselves correct, right?
replyshow: 13 🗨
I don't like racism, I like races. As an artist, I'm interested in new forms. Including different faces. Anger and racism are brought by people like you.
replyshow: 12 🗨
Saying you don't like racism and then justify using a racist caricature is just a flat out lie. And no, anger and racism are brought by jokes like you, racists who justify being racists, not the people calling out racists like you.
By the way, where's that quote I asked for? Like I said, a racist like you should have no issue proving themselves correct yet here you are ignoring that again.

Fuck off, you pervert. You are such free people that you constantly force yourself into some kind of framework and conventions. And not only yourself, but other people too. You will no longer see my crosswords on your website.
replyshow: 10 🗨
Oh look the self admitted racist is trying to accuse others of something he literally can not prove because he's also a liar. Let me remind you of the fact that you excuse your proven racism by going "an ai said it's fine" and then tried to define what counts as racism because you can't handle being called out for what you are, a proven racist on top of being a liar who can't back up his claims while trying to counter with sentences that make absolutely 0 sense. And do you seriously think anything is going to care about a worthless "threat" from a self admitted racist? Making sure that people see less worthless vomit from a racist is the only good thing a racist can do.

Oh look, the racist kid is back yet again to prove how much of a child he actually is.

Why are you crying about me still being here while you're doing the exact same thing, hypocrite? Tho can't expect a lying racist to understand that or the fact that people can read your bullshit.
replyshow: 5 🗨
Are you capable of managing two sentences in a row without using the words "racist" or "racism"? Because it doesn't look like it. You've either made your point, in which case shut up already; or you're the type who cannot bear for another to have the last word, in which case grow up and shut up. And if you're driven to respond to this, be assured I won't see it--so why bother?
replyshow: 4 🗨
Well, your mistake was asking "AI" (which is not actually intelligent in any way at all) and expecting an answer that's not stupid.
Calling it a "Chinese man" literally would have been better

've already called an Indian an "Indian," but I was told that you need to be an "Old American" to do that. You don't like anything. Racism is when people are killed to occupy other people's lands, and then those who remain on reservations, or those with a different skin color, are not allowed into the store.

replyYeah I am going to have to agree with the comments. This image is pretty stereotypically racial.
replyI am going for popcorn. Comment section will be wild.
replyand there is me, making regular drawings of stuff that dont pass the moderators
replyI'm not going to get worked up over what is ultimately a few pixels on the screen, but the fact that a clearly racist depiction like this passed the moderators is ridiculous.
replyI'm an Asian-American. I don't find this racist. I have a photo of my great-grandfather that looks relatively like this, much as a puzzle of a man with a brush moustache, round eyes, and cowboy hat looks quite a bit like many Caucasian-Americans' ancestors. To all of you people who keep trying to 'defend' my culture, could you please just stop? No one asked for your help, and we don't need saving.
replySorry to weigh in but I don't get it. What the hell is racial about someone looking Asian??? if he is asian the so be it, this could be black, white, french, south american, or whatever why is it suddenly racist to say so. Are we so afraid of saying if a person is from another culture?...sorry again I just don't get it.

People need to understand the word they use:
The belief that race accounts for differences in human character or ability and that a particular race is superior to others.

Ok...but I find the Asians have superb memories so in that regard are more superior to me...We all have unique differences...(thank god).
replyshow: 1 🗨
My point was, it isn't racist because it lacks the "superior to others" aspect. I am with you, pointing out differences are NOT racist.
replyThis is the kind of racial caricature that was common in the 1940s and actively used to insult Asians during those time. Go check out some old Dr. Seuss propaganda images, or some of the banned WB cartoons from the time, and you can see that 1. they were used to insult, and 2. they have since been banned or hidden away for being offensive.
I was certainly surprised to do a nonogram today and be slapped in the face with the asian equivalent of blackface. I would've been equally shocked to see a swastika or a KKK member.

I was going to suggest the title could have been simply "Man", but nowadays, that could cause a storm too.
replyI have to say, this image strikes me as problematic. For starters, I know absolutely no Asian Americans who wear conical straw hats. I'm not saying there are none; I'm just saying that this pic is not representative of modern Asian Americans. If it were titled "Laotian rice farmer" or "1860s Chinese immigrant", it might be less bothersome. (Maybe relying on AI was not a great choice, and the fact that you had to ask for the “most tolerant” title suggests you already knew it was questionable.) Worse than the title, the deeply slanted eyes show that this is not a portrait; it’s a retread of a tired stereotype. Using this caricature suggests you’re content to flatten a diverse group of modern individuals into a single outdated cartoon. I'm not calling you racist (I have no idea what's in your heart or mind), and I'm certainly not in favor of censorship. But I will say that recycling this stereotyped imagery strikes me as artistically lazy. I look forward to future puzzles that are more original and thoughtful.

To my mind the words "offensive" and "stereotypical" are not synonyms.
