Vulcan is the largest cast-iron statue in the world and is located in Birmingham, Alabama, United States. It was designed by Giuseppe Moretti in 1903. The statue was built in 1904, but it went through many hardships that caused it to need several repairs over the years. Today, Vulcan is in his current, stable state thanks to a 1990-2004 restoration project.
