I mistook the background for the figure and thought it was an Egyptian scene - there really does seem to be a sphinx in the lower right. I think a cliche may be taking place in this charming picture!

I did not see it until the end. Excellent surprise. Even easy to do one colour after the other.

This is a beautiful image and very surprising! I also thought I was building a pyramid & a sphinx for quite a while!
