Cute. If "octo" is Latin for 8, is "pus" Latin for arms, ... Or legs?

From Greek, actually -- "okto" + "pous." https://www.etymonline.com/word/octopus for more info.

I don't know how the Latin breaks down, but I did hear recently that octopi have 6 legs and 2 arms.
