Japanese crossword «Bar»

Maybe it's just me, but I've been doing these for months now, and I've found a few of the most recent ones to be very difficult. I'm not sure if I'm missing something or if they're actually not solvable without guessing, but I'm stuck.

@Louise I had to guess as well on this one. Very beautiful picture however I don't think the word bar describes it.

Louise, it is solvable, but challenging to get a foot hold to start. Once you find that starting point, it's just a matter of taking baby steps to build from there. At least that's what I found to work for me...

PS...I started near the upper right corner with the 4 dark reds...

Very challenging! Great puzzle!

Very tough, multiple different sections which require quite a bit of digging. Of course difficulty can vary widely due to using inference or mistakenly filling in the correct squares but solving this puzzle logically proved very challenging. Took me over 2 hours. If you are stuck I think the best hint I can offer is that there are many obstacles in this puzzle which require thinking about the number of ways a row/column of numbers can be arranged with regard to the color pattern, if that makes sense. Thanks Arina can usually expect a nice challenge from your puzzles and this one proved to be the toughest yet.

It is all solvable by logic... It took me over 2 hours (with some breaks), but i did it by pure logic. Some of the trics were very hard to see though.
Either way, beautyful puzzle, beautiful picture and good luck to everyone who tries to solve it! :)

Very difficult! But I did enjoy the challenge, especially after reading the comments. Big thanks to Mary for her hint, and to Sean for his advice. I was able to complete it with mostly the use of logic, but as Sean said, it took a good amount of inference as well. I made a few mistakes, but I didn't even feel like I had to flat out guess at things. Very nicely crafted puzzle! Thanks for sharing it!

Great puzzle, solvable by logic but very challenging. Beautiful image. I also don't understand the translation "bar" for thistle.

Great picture. I managed to solve by logic but had to concentrate. Makes a nice change from filling large blocks of colour in a dark boarder.

it was challenging but not that tricky. Took me about 20 mins including stopping to answer the phone midway. The title confused me a little, guess it got lost in the translation.

Lovely! For me it had just the right level of difficulty - hard, but not stumping hard. As you do more of these puzzles, they get easier; you learn more "tricks" to look for.
