Correct me if I am wrong, but finishing the tail came down to sight and not logic.

The tail is a little tricky but you don't have to guess.
Here https://i.imgur.com/LUCBcHm.png it has to be a green square because the other squares to the right would all have to be grey if there was one in any of those.
https://i.imgur.com/U12rCCG.png This square here has to be grey because the last squares in the left two columns have to be green.
Here https://i.imgur.com/1JBMeu1.png the middle row has to be green then grey because there are only two squares left to fill in that row. After that we know there has to be a grey one above the left and a green one above the right and that's it.
