I've been asking Charl to create a more difficult puzzle. Be careful what you ask for! This is the third most difficult puzzle (size 40x40 and below)--or the first most difficult if you exclude black and white. Go for it, hard core puzzlers!

I'm curious if anyone's done it. I find almost nothing to work with.

Not easy to start, but an interesting finish.

If you check the statistics you can see how many times it's been solved. As of Feb. 16th--the day after it was posted--it had been solved 352 times with an average solution time of 42 minutes.

Yes, this is challenging, but definitely solvable. I just did it in 32 minutes. I was doing it from the top down, and for the longest time I was wondering what kind of animal it was. The result is rather creepy, but a very well designed puzzle for sure. Thanks for this, Charl!

Not sure how that there were many people could do this so fast :) Guess I'm still low lv. Puzzle like this usually takes me few hours to do. For me the first 1/3 to half is very easy, but filling the color was very tedious. A bit hard finding a key part, then the rest was easy again. Difficulty should be medium or average

Great result, but quite tricky...
